Traders Hotel Cafe: Traditional Teahouse experience

by thedouglas Written Apr 24, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

On the ground floor of the Traders Hotel is a large Indian teahouse. We bought tea and cake for about .75c - and enjoyed watching the large groups of people socialising over their tea. The restaurant has little more to buy than tea and semi stale cake, but worth it for a clean pitstop/rest stop.

Favorite Dish: Refreshing tea - good for the weak of stomach!

This is rice noodle served in fish soup. YUMM. I love it. It taste a little bit fishy at first but when you're hooked... I was told that this is typically myanmar because we cant find anything like this in the reast of south east asia. I have to agree.

    Favorite Dish: Moat Hinkar.
