THIS IS IMPORTANT..
After arriving in Rangoon I was lucky to have transport organised. Here I was met by my hotel driver with a hotel pickup...but as ALL airports in Burma are such a huge distance from the cities (because of the military) it is best to meet up with fellow travellers on your flight to share taxi costs from the Airport to the City centres..This I found cut my transport costs significantly..This is especially true in the cities of Mandalay..Bagan..and Heho Airports as you have no bargaining powers to the charges ,,as the taxi is the only way to get to the city centre...There are no busses..
