Free and easy to do. Take a night dip in the ocean (i.e. the Gulf of Thailand). When you move, microscopic aglae glows phosporescent green. Often, you'll see thunderstorms out over the ocean with great lightning shows like fireworks going off in the clouds. Beautiful!

Unless you're into container shipping (and as a business school alum, I kinda am), there's only one reason to come to Sihanoukville (Kampong Saom): the beach. And since Sihanoukville (Kampong Saom) is all about the beach-lover, it has three to choose from: the popular Ochheuteal Beach, the sunset-worthy Victory Beach, and the less-travelled Independence Beach. Each has its advantages, so it's based entirely upon what you prefer. No matter where you go, you'll be sure to get sun, surf, and relaxation.

Sihanoukville is 240km South of Phnom Penh by national road Nº 4. We went there by bus. Here you will find beautiful white sand beaches. Cambodian's only deep-sea port is located here and considerable international aid has been spent to improve the infrastructure in the province. Although tourism has increased over the past few years, the beaches of Sihanoukville are some of the most unspoiled in all of Southeast Asia.

Sihanoukville has two markets in Downtown, near the bus station. One of them sells fruit and vegetables while the other sells clothes and household items.

This large casino cum restaurant/hotel is located on Victory Beach. As well as slot machines you'll find all the usual casino games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Poker etc.

It's easy and cheap to rent a tuk-tuk for a longer period. A city tour for two hours should be enough to see all beaches, the fishing harbour, the port and the downtown in Sihanoukville.

The fishing boat harbour in Sihanoukville is a picturesque place in the city. The fishermen are living inside the harbour area.

A statue of a big white shark is located in Victory beach. (It's no white sharks in the warm sea outside Cambodia).

An old russian airplane is mounted like a statue in Victory beach. It's a weird idea to have an airplane on the beach.

Serendipity beach in Sihanoukville is the tourist beach on the east side. The beach is calm, with less beach stands.
