Half way up Sen Monorem's main street lies the Middle of Somewhere Bar, the most obvious expat joint in town. To be honest, I never felt quite comfortable with the MoS Bar...and I'm not really sure why. The bar gets good reviews from ravellers (see the message board on the wall) but it seems a bit isolated from Sen Monorem. At one point, one of the owners - Jack - really sneered at one of his neighbouring competitors. It felt a bit nasty and cheap.
I only ever saw foreigners here, and although they play good music and are cheerful (with a wonderfully naughty puppy!!) it just didn't do it for me. Many will disagree and I am sure most travellers will love the place.

Address: Main street
The town is very quiet at night, and most places effectively close down by 8.30pm. There is one expat bar – the Middle of Somewhere Bar on the main street – but most evening entertainment revolves around the guest houses and watching TV.
