Favorite thing: A trip to at least one traditional market (psah) is a must. If you visit only one or two markets, begin with the Russian Market and the Central Market. Both offer curios, souvenirs and a cultural shopping adventure. Other markets such as the Old Market (Psah Chas) have far fewer items of interest to the tourist but can still be photographically intriguing. They open and close with the sun but are pretty sleepy between 11:30AM and 2:00PM.

Favorite thing: Keep these shots in mind the next time you have a bowl of beef noodle soup in Phnom Penh. You may imagine a refrigerated meat locker in the restaurant's kitchen, but chances are the meat comes straight from a scene just like this.
