As most tourists know, it is not advised to drink anything but bottled water while in Cambodia. But the ice in country is actually made from filtered water and is therefore, supposedly safe to consume. The ice is transported in large blocks and on the back of carts as seen being loaded in the photo. But do beware, sometimes the blocks of ice are dragged in the street to get to the transport vehicles.
Acvtually in Cambodia the most common used currency is dollar. They have prices in dollars, and give you the change in dollars, the real is practically used as if it was dollar's cent. One dollar is about 4000 real, actually, so no need to change money into real, just be sure to have enough dollars. If you need money you can get cash in advance with your credit card at banks or exchange offices, but forget atms, they still do not exist(at least for foreigners).
The climate is tropical and has three major seasons. The nicest season is the dry season from November to March where the temperatures are cooler (average temperatures 20 - 28C). The hot season lasts from March to June (average temperatures 28-35C) and the rainy season from May to early October. I was there in early April and it was pretty hot.
US$ are generally accepted throughout the country and change is given back in US$ unless the amount is under US$1 where local currency is given.

Some credit cards can be used. In my hotel I could pay any additional charges with my credit card but I could not buy a book from the hotel on a credit card (unless I had it charged to my room).
Electricity is 220v 50hz. There are two types of plug with some outlets a combination of both. That is the 2 flat pin and 2 round pin. Some British plugs outlets can also be found at some hotels.
