This bar overlooks the famous Sisovath Quay and the muddy river, which has been the favourite haunt of foreign correspondents when reporting news on Cambodia. This bar/restaurant evokes a very retro feel about it, with old whirling overhead fans, wooden stools, large wooden bartops and nostalgic poster ads on the walls. Great place to while away your time especially when the merciless midday sun is beating down on the shadeless concrete streets of Phnom Penh.
Favorite Dish: I just have club sandwiches whenever I come here. The fruit shakes are definitely refreshing!!

The Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) is open to everyone. It has a very elegant British colonial charm and offers (almost) unlimited possibilities to eat, drink, chat, and meet.
Favorite Dish: Everything was delicious!

The FCC is in a three storey colonial style building and opened in the early nineties.
The club became famous for its bar and for the restaurant that looks out from its balcony on the second floor to one of the best views of the Tonle Sap.
It has always been popular as a meeting point for journalists, businessmen, politicians and academics from all over the world.
Over the years, the Club has grown by buying up neighboring shop houses and breaking through the walls to create seven large hotel style rooms in colonial style with beautiful modern bathrooms.
The FCC is minutes walk to the Royal Palace and a five min drive to Wat Phnom.
The menu is Asian & Western and their pizzas and sandwiches are great if you are after a change from the local food.
The Foreign Correspondents Club also has photo shows and exhibitions, plus there is a Bookshop and a delicatessen on the ground floor.
FCC is a bit more expensive than most places but it is worth it just to sit there with an cold drink and watch the world go by.

The FCC is the classic of Phnom penh.
It´s a combined, restaurant, bar, cafe by the riverfront that has caterd to the foreign correspondents and many others over the years.
It still has quite a colonial feel and is classy and relaxed at the same time.
you have a great view over the river from there and i think it´s the best place for a late afternoon drink in Phnom Penh.

Ate here when I worked in Phnom Penh nearly 15 years a go and it was good then and it is still good. Ate there twice in a recent 2 1/2 week trip to Phnom Penh and had great local dishes both times. My bisiness colleague had a pizza with everytghing his first trip and it was a lot of pizza but he said it was OK but nothing special. My local hot and spicy dishes were great both times. The have a good souvenir selection and I got a nice polo shirt.
Favorite Dish: A local Chicken and veggie dish with chilis and fish sauce on the side.

Great ambience throughout and truly a nice place to watch the sunset in the horizon if you are at the top deck. Even one floor below is great if you managed to get a seat facing the river.
As momentos of your trip to this eating place, you could purchase some very interesting items from the FCC shop. Some of these items include Uncle Ho Sandals, nicely designed T-shirts and the usual mugs with the FCC logo.
This restaurant is so iconic that it has opened up another outlet in another equally iconic location - Angkor at Pokarbor Avenue, Siem Reap further up north of the country. Tel: 063 760 280 (Office).
Favorite Dish: Well, since this is an international restaurant of repute, you can expect food of good quality to be served to you. Our intimate little group of three had pizza, pasta and some delicious appetizers together with wine to wash it down.

The FCC is a nice restaurant/bar to hang out at both during the day and in the evening. It is open on two sides and has nice views of the Tonle Sap River. The menu was varied with both asian and international cuisine and service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the evening when we went. Can buy souvenirs here too. Prices above average here.
Favorite Dish: Had pizza I'm afraid! Not very adventurous I know! It was good though! Rest of the group had a mix of food and they all said it was nice.
