FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): in all the books, but still worth going

by cityhobgoblin Written Jul 7, 2006

Good service, good views for watching world go past on the quay but being a floor up not hassled by tuk tuk drivers.
food is tasty, mix of asian and english

Favorite Dish: worked my way through menu over a few visits, even just having starters as a snack with a beer. All very tasty

FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): Good service, food, and views

by NedHopkins Written Mar 14, 2006

Located on Phnom Penh's main street, facing the Tonle Sap River just before its confluence with the Mekong, the FCC restaurant is located on the 3d floor -- and up flights of steep stairs -- of a not especially attractive building. Based on several recommendations, I had cancelled my room reservation (in favor of one at the Raffles LeRoyal); but I stopped by for lunch one day.

The restaurant is airy -- open on two sides -- and both the service and the food are excellent. Best of all is the view from the counters facing the rivers.

Favorite Dish: After several days of seafood, I was in the mood for a cheeseburger and french fries. They were delicious; and the servings were so large I couldn't finish either of them.

FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): place to be is the FCC...

    by georgio829 Written Oct 31, 2013

the FCC is just great...the best views over the river area along sisowath quay, great food...yes pricey compared to other eateries but the atmosphere and scenery are just classic...few places in asia can compare...if only the walls could talk...

FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): A Must!

    by bartman_9 Written Jun 10, 2003

No visit to Phnom Penh is complete without at least one stop in the FCC. Great food, cool drinks in a setting that takes you back to French colonial times. As you sip your beer and browse through the international papers you half expect Graham Greene to walk in, taking a break from writing one of his novels.

This is the Foreign Correspondents Club on the banks of the Tonle Sap. A great example of French Colonial Architecture
