Foreign Correspondents'Cafe: A Cambodian Icon
Great ambience throughout and truly a nice place to watch the sunset in the horizon if you are at the top deck. Even one floor below is great if you managed to get a seat facing the river.
As momentos of your trip to this eating place, you could purchase some very interesting items from the FCC shop. Some of these items include Uncle Ho Sandals, nicely designed T-shirts and the usual mugs with the FCC logo.
This restaurant is so iconic that it has opened up another outlet in another equally iconic location - Angkor at Pokarbor Avenue, Siem Reap further up north of the country. Tel: 063 760 280 (Office).
Favorite Dish: Well, since this is an international restaurant of repute, you can expect food of good quality to be served to you. Our intimate little group of three had pizza, pasta and some delicious appetizers together with wine to wash it down.
FCC: Great View and good food
Ate here when I worked in Phnom Penh nearly 15 years a go and it was good then and it is still good. Ate there twice in a recent 2 1/2 week trip to Phnom Penh and had great local dishes both times. My bisiness colleague had a pizza with everything on our first trip and it was a lot of pizza that he said it was OK but nothing special. My local hot and spicy dishes were great both times. They have a good souvenir selection and I got a nice polo shirt.
Favorite Dish: A local Chicken and veggie dish with chilis and fish sauce on the side.
FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): A Must!
No visit to Phnom Penh is complete without at least one stop in the FCC. Great food, cool drinks in a setting that takes you back to French colonial times. As you sip your beer and browse through the international papers you half expect Graham Greene to walk in, taking a break from writing one of his novels.
FCC ... a really special place...
FCC ... a really special place with an excellent view of the riverside and the National Museum.
Favorite Dish: They have great salads, and beer is cheap...
FCC (Foreign Correspondent Club): Lovely Archtecture
This is the Foreign Correspondents Club on the banks of the Tonle Sap. A great example of French Colonial Architecture
