Some guesthouses have bicycles available for rent, though they are usually local one-speed bikes. Khmer Cycling offers proper quality mountain bikes for rent and sale. Khmer also offers a variety of bicycle tours in and around Phnom Penh.

The Phnom Penh International Airport sits about 9km (30-50 minutes) from the central Phnom Penh. Transportation into the city can be hired just outside the arrival lobby for set prices: $9 for a car taxi and $7 for a tuk-tuk. At time of printing, motorcycle taxis (motodups) could be found just outside of the airport, near the exit gates, only about 100 meters across the parking lot from the arrival area. Motorcycle taxis can be hired for $2.00 to town center, though they sometime charge another $1 past town center. A taxi to the airport from town is a bit cheaper, about $7.

PNH to BKK and there are 7 fights a day to Chiang Mai.
if you book early you can get reasonably good prices and much cheaper than bus and overland and the time saved would be precious...
do not recommend land journey to BKK or Thailand ..from PNH

We took the Mekong Express bus for $12.00 from Saigon. We arranged this online with Hotels-IN-Vietnam before leaving home.
The bus was comfotable and even included a snack and water.
The guide on board was great and spoke some English .
He took care of our Visa at the border. The cost was $25.00. I was surprised we didn't even need a picture.
The trip took 6 hours including a half hour break ,border crossings and a short ferry ride.
When we arrived in PhenomPhen there were lots of taxis and tuk tuks waiting to take us to our hotel.

You can go Saigon to Phnom Penh by bus or via Chau Doc partly by boat (i think there are more companies doing this):

The same is possible for Phnom Penh to Siem Reap/Ankor (boat on Tonle Lake is sometimes breaking down and a bit more expensive than bus)

Transport in Phom Penh is complex and easy at the same time. Everything is possible, at one condition, that many people can go inside, or upside and not specially sit down in one and a single truck, van, lorry, minibus etc. The more the better and the less expensive.
There is no comparison to be made between the Paris Metro at 7 hr. in the morning and these transportations.
And moreover, they are all very happy, singing ang laughing!!

A rapid way to travel from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat is the speed boat Friendship. Departure from PP is 6.h45 AM from the Passanger Port on Sisowath Quai.
It takes about 6 hours "driving" first through the Tonle Sap River for about 50 km; then over
the lake of Tonle Sap for about 300 km.
The landscape during the first hour is fantastic and interesting looking to all the small villages along the river side, as the last half hour before arrival at Phnom Krom Port, about 18 km from Siem Reap. Price of this interesting trip is 25 us$ and places are reserved. To be sure to have a reserved place, you have to buy the ticket one day before departure.
At hot waether, you can stay on the roof of this speedboat, but it is rather windy, due to the speed.
At arrival in Phnom Krom "Port", you will be waited by 50 drivers of Tuk Tuk, taxi and minibus.
Some Tuk Tuk driver offer the trip for 2 $ but they hope you will keep them for the next day to visit Angkor Wat. The price is about 12 $ per day, and they drive you wherever you want.

Phone: your hotel reception can reserve
The bus station In Phnom Penh is small and crowded. I would highly recommend buying bus tickets through an outside travel agency than trying to fight the crowds here if possible. It’s an easy Taxi or Tuk Tuk ride to most of the hotels. If you don’t have reserved seats on your bus get here early to grab the best seats. There are refreshment stands at the bus station if you want to buy any provisions for your trip. As the bus station tends to be rather crowded, be aware that it is difficult to find a place to sit to wait for your bus and it is HOT and sunny most of the time. If you are arriving here from outside the city it is generally easy to find a taxi, tuk tuk or motorbike here to take you to your desired destination with in Phnom Penh.
