Walking around the side streets in Phnom Penh.

The cheapest way to get around Phnom Penh is of course to walk! If you’re staying along the riverfront it’s easy to walk to many bars, restaurants, art galleries and shops. The Royal Residence, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum are also close enough to reach on foot, as is Wat Phnom and Phsar Thmey (Central Market). Walking around the city is also a great way to see and experience life in the city firsthand. This is how we discovered the enchanting local market. And a relaxing walk along the river is a great way to unwind.

    Easy to get around

Phnom penh is quite an easy place to get around since it is quite small. One of the best ways is to walk. When it is too hot or you are too tired take a tri-shaw or a taxi. There are plenty around the main tourist areas. Agree your price before the journey.

Take a morning walk, around where you stay, before you get into a Tuk-tuk.

You will see more thing on foot.

But don't walk at night, just trust me.
