Drinking "Buckets"

by Maximilian21

In Phnom Penh there are many bars which sells buckets of drink. These things are beutiful and cheap if you want to have a big night. You just down one of these things and it should sufice you alcohol consumption for that night, trust me its more than enough. There about $4 for vodka mixed with redbull and a few other juices i think. Its a bout a litre of drink

Sa: (pronounced soh): very good place in phnom penh

by Pouic

The food is a most-interesting combination of Cambodian and French recipes and flavours. The quality is impeccable and certainly the best restaurant in town. Not to menttion the location that makes it unique: from the roof-top, one has a view on the Royal Palace, the chak tomuk (where the Mekong and Tonle Sap meet) and a few colonial buildings (the restaurant is one of the oldest buildings in Phnom Penh). Having tried most of the dishes, I am at a loss as to which one I prefer! The gazpacho is quite nice indeed...

Little India Restaurant: Indian Food at Siem Reap, Cambodia

by chennaismartguy

I experienced a great Indian food once again outside of India. The owner of the restaurant Mahendran and his wife Geetha were so friendly and they are first to start the Indian Restaurant at Siem Reap 5 years ago. Eventhough I experienced other Indian places, I felt this Little Indian Restaurant tastes good.Atleast have a try and I am sure you will eat everyday as long as your stay in Siem Reap. All most everything is good. But after a long day of walking the Angkor Wat temples at Siem Reap, I preferred to eat Thali. Its comparatviely cheaper to other Indain Restaurants in Siem Reap.

Chiangmail Thai Vietnamese Restaurant

by batgirl1001

Serves Thai/Vietnamese/BBQ/Western cuisine in a normal dining setting.Value-for-money especially for its Thai dishes. Real Thai chef so hence Green Curry is spicy. Presentation of food is better. Serves seafood and other hot dishes on lighted stoves to keep them warm. Delicious Korean seafood BBQ. Good restaurant and easy on the money. Opposite Mom's Guesthouse at Wat Phnom Bo Street. If you can't afford the Baan Thai, then try this.

Chivit Thai Restaurant

by batgirl1001

Serves mix Thai and Western menu in a romantic Bali-traditional setting. Thai food is not spicy as albeit our Green Curry was more milky than spicy. Opposite Mom's Guesthouse at Wat Phom Bo Street.Has some free appetisers and fruit desserts if you order.

Chinese noodle shop: Home made noodles!!

by funky_pigeon

This place is amazing. They make the noodles out of the dough and by hand through every stage of the process and you can watch it happen outside the shop.Every dish that we had at this restaurant was excellent and we went loads. This place is really busy most of the time and the noodle soup is definately the best i've had.The noodles just make it feel not heavy and makes you want more and more

Crunchy Crickets

by aukjejetty

Although in Japan and China crickets are often held for entertainment, in Cambodia they serve a very different purpose: Food! In many counties insects are an important source of protein, and a favorite dish bought from hawkers. Crickets might look difficult to eat to many people. I would suggest you try at least one, you might like the crunchy, nutty taste. It is best to hold the long legs in the back, and don't eat them, so that won't get stuck in your troath.Enjoy!

Mith Samlanh/ Friends: The best tapas ever!!! And supports a great cause!

by MN_Girl

The food is so good we ate there twice. They serve Asian tapas, a Asian twist on common international dishes. There is seating indoors and out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We all LOVEDit!!! And your money supports a good cause. Friends is an organization working with street children, providing them with accomodations, schooling and training. It was tapas we had plates and plates of food. I can't remember what was best!
