 | Cambodia Transportation | Tips 151 - 160 of 273 | | We used Capitol Tour Company for our bus trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and they were great. Bus was in great condition with A/C - which was important as it was very wet and humid. The bus stopped for a break at a good cafe with decent toilet facilities. Cheap and fast - couldn't fault them Leave a Comment Theme: BusPhone: 023 217 627 PPOther Contact: 063 963 883 SR

While researching for my Cambodia trip, I came across this website which I feel is very useful for travellers in Cambodia who are planning their transportation schedules to, from and within Cambodia. http://www.kucambodia.com/flight_schedule.htm This website lists the schedules of flights, bus & boat. It also lists the cost of bus/boat trips as well as the contact numbers of the bus/boat companies. If required you can even book flights, bus, boat online at: http://www.kucambodia.com/flight_ticketing.php As this website is run by a private travel company, there may be charges involved for the services rendered.

I came across this taxi-cab driver who was quite friendly, honest and very decent in his dealings with me! I'd recommend his services to anyone requiring such. His command of the English language is rather impeccable too! Do try the fellow out when in Phnom Penh! Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor HomePhone: + 855 12 98 57 00Other Contact: Contact: Toro

Taxis are a good way to see all the sights around Cambodia. I can recommend three drivers Mr Rithy Ngin 012879731 and Mr Men Sophan 012442785 In Siem Reap we used Mr. Savoern 012944678. All were very polite and had a good knowledge of the area. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

if you plan to take a shared taxi, think again and consider taking the bus if you're less than 4 or giving the few extra bucks for a private taxi if you're more. when they said we'd be 8 + luggages in that toyota camry (what else...) i thought it was just to raise the price (since we'd tried to book the 2 extra seats and turn the shared taxi into a private one). i should have known better... frankly, driving at 110 km/h on the narrow road from kampot to PP with the driver sitting on the knees of one passenger, no safety belt, no rearview mirror, no way to ask him to slow down because of the other passengers being in a hurry. it's pretty simple: you crash, you die Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Maybe you can not believe that in the cities of Cambodia, even in Phnom Penh, Shihanuke Ville, there is no bus for public transportation. There is only some long distance bus between some cities. Don't expect how clean or new the bus will be. Taxi is very popular in the country, but I must tell you that the taxi there is called motortaxi, because most taxi is motorcycle. there is car taxi only in the airport. Inside city, you can hire a motorcycle for your traveling. (I am sorry I never hire one, our company has its own car. I can drive myself.) Leave a Comment Theme: Motorcycle

The best way to get around the city is to get on back of a scooter. US$ 1 is all you way of a short journey. Great way, but do hold tight. But don't be put off by it. Give it a go. Theme: Motorcycle

Angkor Wat is very large and requires a driver to get around if you want to see it all. There are many guides available in Siem Reap. A good guide can make the difference between a positive and negative experience. Most guides charge $20 per day for their services, including transportation. To contact a guide before arriving see the email address below. I personally recommend his services if you are looking for an English speaking guide who is knowledgable, friendly and accomodating. For a well informed Tuk Tuk driver in Phnom Penh use 'Mr Fat Man'. He pitches outside the Raffles Hotel Le Royal. We hired him for an evening and he proved to be a great guide and companion. Highly recommeneded. English & Thai speaking. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherPhone: 012 25 40 72Other Contact: hengheoun@yahoo.com
