the taffic transportation are terrible in holidays.
to some place ,cycling or walking could be nice and convenient.

i would highly recommend going via a good established packaged tour. this is a place that you can eaisly get lost, and nothing is recognizable, you wont be able to read signs or speak the language.

by taxi (don't forget your hotel-card in chinese language) or by bicycle if you are really brave (say weary of life!!)
