Fondest memory: I enjoyed my stay at Tsinghua University and enjoyed walking in the university everyday. Inside the university there were shops including grocery and electronics. The university was also close to the Summer Palace and Yuanmingyuan. It's a long way though from the city center and attractions like the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. It's also a long way from the airport since it's located on the northwest side of the city.

Favorite thing: Beijing has many universities. Most of them are places with a lot of old trees and beautiful gardens. I was fortunate to spend a whole year at the Beijing Language and Culture University, which was then called the Beijing Language Institute.
For more about my time at the BLCU see my travelogue!!!
