Dong lai shun has a long and well-respected history in the making of "shuanyangrou" (instant-boiled mutton) in an environment similar to hot pot. This Beijing staple of Muslim fare boasts the finest quality lamb-meat – using only black-headed white sheep from Inner Mongolia – and a truly traditional eating experience using copper pots and charcoal fire. Starting with a boiling pot of perfectly clear water, the lamb is placed inside to cook. The prepared lamb is often dipped into a sesame butter sauce, making a rich morsel out of every bite!

Dong Lai Shun has a series of restaurant over Beijing and our taxi driver may be able to propose one nearer to where you are.
Compared to Xi'an ChangLe XiLu's Hot Pot, this is pretty expensive. The Xi'an Hot Pot was only 46RMB. This Dong Lai Shun cost me 200+RMB for the same 2 adults and 3 kids (portion for 3 we ordered).
Maybe better to go into other not so popular mongolian hot pot restaurant.
The male toilet has a TV infront of the urinals.

If you stay in the area close to Dong San Huan, say close to Lufthansa Centre or Hilton Area, you can go to Xiao Yun Lu street, there are plenty of restaurants along the road. It's a crowded place for local to have dinner.
DONG LAI SHUN is typical northern hot pot restaurant. It's very popular for Chinese to eat in winter season. You can get warmer after the meal.Be sure you use chopstick well if you eat Mongolian hot pot.
Favorite Dish: Order some simple dishes like
YANG ROU (Mutton)
BAI CAI (cabbage)
FEN SI (soybean noodle)
Mushroom
Mix these together and boil for a few minutes .
Put them in the sesame sause then eat.
