Hi, I am from New York.
We traveled to Beijing in September 2006.
I wanted to speak out about the service in China- the way I saw it.
Getting food was the biggest challenge because places were very dirty.
We ended up eating at McDonalds (which I avoid by all means in New York) and Pizza Hut.
We had quite an interesting experience in Pizza Hut in one of the biggest malls (Wangfu Shopping District), which is still being finished.
We sat down at the table, ordered our food and at this point the manager (Lennon Liu) opens the door wide open and lets all the chemical fumes from the hall being under construction go right in. I asked him to close the door and he said: Sorry, I can’t do that.
Why could not he do that? Because of the strict instructions or because of his stupidity?
It was clear the smell annoys customers and hurts business.
We took food to go and ate at hotel room.
My experience in China- don’t go there.
Awful habits, no respect to anything, low culture. And please – learn how to clean things.
I have never seen such dirty places in my life.
Yaroslav.
There's a Pizza Hut outlet opposite Carrefour at the 3rd Ring Road, next to China International Exhibition Centre.
The prices are a little steep. A 13 inch pizza cost about 95RMB.
Anyway, my daughter won an instant lucky dip top prize and the prize is the free pizza for the day.
The rest of the bills for the drinks, ice cream, latte, soup of the day, garlic bread came up to about 157RMB.
Pizza Hut - 3rd Floor, APM Mall, Wangfujing street, Beijing
- the worst service and rudest staff I have ever encountered at any restaurant in any city or country I have ever been to.
The staff are so rude and ill mannered, it defies description. The overall impression is that we, the customers are their filthy slaves and we are so damn lucky we have been allowed into that restaurant - and it's just a fast food place - a basic pizza restaurant.
Arrogant, arrogant, arrogant staff - VOTE with your feet.............
.............. Don't support Pizza Hut at APM Mall, Wangfujing street.
Favorite Dish:
used to be the pizzas
You just can't go wrong with some beer and a good pizza.
My brother-in-law tells me this is Beijing's best.
