Tuan Jie Hu - Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant
Favorite Dish: In that restaurant I had my first dinner in Beijing. And of course I ate Beijing Duck. I have to say thanks to my friend Tina that she showed me that restaurant

Eating, again, can cost you almost nothing...to almost everything! There were several little malls in the General vacinity of the Forbidden city. They were offering enormous 4 selection lunches with soup and teas for an astonishing 15RMB. It is actually enough for two people. Alot of locals eat there. Chances are, if you can find a large office building, there will be a food fair infront of it where the locals eat. A soup noodle will run you about 5RMB
It is a very simple restaurant. But the Food is supurb! the first dish comes as a soup, followed by the tastefully seasoned duck in it's crispy blown skin. Served with Green onions, sweet sause, and the only one to serve it with a spicy paste. then you jsut wrap all of it in one of the paper thin wrappings.
Favorite Dish: Peking Duck... IT's everywehre! but finding a cheap, reasonable one can be difficult. May of my co workers swear by this one. It's called Tuan Jie Hue Beijing Duck rest. It was fantastic! very tasteful, and very very well presented...rumor has it they go through over 120 ducks a day. ANd the duck, which is rather large, will set you back about 110 RMB....which is still very cheap..but very well worth the experience!
The fresh vegetables and stirfrys are also highly recommended.
