My friend and I could not believe the extremely astronomical prices at the Lufthansa Center Department Store. We were looking for deals on clothing and electronics, but this is not the place to go as prices were at least 4 times what you would pay in the states!
We had better luck in the smaller stores and shops further down Wang Fu Jing Avenue.
What to pay: Beverly Hills, Haute Coture prices! EXPENSIVO!

The Lufthansa Shopping Center has a very good selection of the best goods you can buy at Beijing. For acceptable and reasonable prices you can find from silk scarves to chinese medicine almost everything. I have been there in 1992 so the pic was made during that time. But I have heard, that the Shopping center is still excellent.
What to buy: Silk textiles for very good prices and other typical textiles.
What to pay: Average prices compare to the very good qualtity you will get
