Wangfujing is one of the most famous district / street in Beijing for shopping, this street reminded me of Nanjing Road in Shanghai, it’s a pedestrian friendly street with shops on both sides.

A popular shopping strip, similar to Orchard Road. Well, the stuff here is higher than elsewhere due to higher rent.

In the alleys nearby, you may find Chinese gifts in a street-like bazaar.

What to buy: This is the "Walking Street" which has a variety of stores. I remember coming here back in 1986 and find great deals on cashmere and silk clothing. i was here in 2001 and the deals are still here.
