Liulichang Cultural Street is an ancient cultural street since Emperor Kangxi's and Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. Before that, it was a famous street to produce glazed tiles that built the Emperor Palace during Yuan and Ming Dynasty.
Today, this street is progressively expanded as an important cultural street with Chinese Bookstores, Antiques Shops, Painting and Calligraphy shops. I was impressed by the remaining ancients shop-lots and buildings that have been preserved and converted to traditional Chinese bookshops, antique shops, and painting and calligraphy shops.
It you like Chinese Arts and Calligraphic, don't miss this area...!!
