Subway system in Beijing is very efficient, cheap, clean and easy to use. Local folks are very helpful and oftern volenteer to assist!

The Beijing subway is great. It's frequent, clean, safe, and CHEAP.
Fare is only 2RMB. Use it you wont be sorry.

For central Beijing, one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get around is the subway. It is quick and efficient. There are 2 lines which stops at most major tourist destinations.

Seems like the ticket price for a way one trip on lines 1 and 2 is only now 2RMB.

Beijing city is served by 3 lines of underground.
Tourist places can be reached using this transportation: tiananmen square, forbidden city, Lamas temple, heavens temple [not too far from station]

If you hotel is centrally located, you probably don't even have to use the subway.
Yet, soon the Subway is bringing you from the airport straight to downtown.

Easy to use and cheap,but usefull only for Silk Market and Lama Temple or Tianamen Sq. in my opinion.

Really easy and quick.. you didn't get stuck in traffic jam.. as long as you know where you are going its the best alternative!!
