Gesangmedo: Tibetan Culture and Dining
Went here a year ago to see what Tibetan food was like but was actually very disappointed. Walked in and the decor was very pretty with lots of colourful hangings on the walls and ceilings, the staff were very attentive dressed in their traditional costume and there was live music too, but apart from that, it wasn't anything special. The menu was amazing, this long pull out of a thing with lots of dishes and corresponding photos, but none of them were actually as outstanding as we were led to believe they would be!One of the only Tibetan restaurants in Beijing, so if you fancy it, please go and check it out, maybe I just didn't choose the best dishes!A description of a dish:"Moral is a famous edible wild fungus. It is picked from plateau forest 3000m in altitude. It is tender, crisp, sweet and tasty. It is good for the stomach and intestines, benefiting digestion, adjusts body energy flow...
