Lions Peak is a popular mountain around Beibei. Ive been told that regional politicians choose it as a stay during hot summer season. Even the one and only Mao has benn around here.
Well, to me it was a nice hike through green forests and even a bamboo forest past a Temple where you can take a rest for dinner. There is also a Hotel, but not necessary to stay there I think. For the last part they charge 15 Kuai entry fee.
There are quite some steep trails and stairs to conquer on the way up. There are two peaks on top. One with an old stone tower and the other one with a pagoda, but I think it is a retro.
During my time it was really foggy which gave me the impression of these old famous calligraphies where only parts of the mountains can be seen whereas the rest is hiiden in the mist. Quite inspiring
