Incense haze

Regardless of what religion you espouse, it is alway interesting to see how the local religion is practiced. We went to a Buddhist temple complex, with many temples and Buddhas throughout. But what most impressed me was all the incense being burnt, and how the wonderful smell wafted through the whole temple complex.

As in much of China, the people of Fuzhou dress warmly in the "winter". When we were there in January, the weather was in the 60's, sometimes 70's, but the people were dressed in winter coats and many layers. We thought it was warm and wore short and attracted attention. Even the pets wear coats :)

In some areas of China, and Fujian province is one of those places, you will attract attention if you aren't Asian. This is great example of the stares that you will quickly become accustomed to.

Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China

Fuzhou, is the largest city in Fujian Province. It is also the provincial capital. There are not many 'must see' places here, in my opinion. West Lake Park is the main city park for Fuzhou.
