I thought Pingtan is not a very popular place for tourists, I think it would be enough just go there and find a hotel to stay. But I was really wront!! Although there are plenty of hotels in the city center, but all of them are full! My friends and me walked in the city about an hour and couldn't find a hotel to stay. And if you can book in advance, price is much lower. We finally found a hostel to stay, the room was in really bad contidion but we didn't had a chance. :(
