There's just one reason to go to Liujiaxia and that's to see the grottoes of Bin Ling Si. To get there you have to take a boat along the Yellow River. You only can go there three months a year, otherwise, the river is either too low or too high to reach the place. Bing Ling SI is famous for it's caves. If you have seen other caves of this kind before (you can't compare them with the Magao Grottoes in Dunhuang), the caves are perhaps a bit dissapointing, but the landscape around is just great. So if you aren't a expert of grottoe, it should be enough to pay the 30 Yuan for the grottoes on the ground floor. If you want to see more of the grottoes, you have to pay more, up to 300 Yuan.
I can definitly recommend a trip to Bing Ling Si. Consider taking a speed boat instead of the usual one, as even the speed boat takes about one hour to get there.
