Along both sides of the river on the Tianshui side of town, but most heavily concentrated near the main bridge, you'll find a veritable plethora of places to sit and drink a beer by the river and watch the world go by. A number of nightclubs have been popping up on Walk Street (the pedestrian shopping district) on the Tianshui side of town. Most have 'mix' somewhere in the title, and most have pole or table dancers (dressed) to go with the DJ tunes.
There's also the Boom Bar, which alternates between dancing and truly bizarre stage shows and audience participation of the spin around and see if you fall over get a beer if you don't sort.
