Map of Kaiping at Liyuan Gardens, Kaiping

karen75 Says:  It's rare to find a good map of Kaiping that shows the names of the villages in Chinese and English. I found this map in one of the buildings at Liyuan Gardens. This particular building has articles and pictures that talk about the history of the watchtowers in Kaiping.

Dad's Village

Sight-seeing - by taxi, Kaiping

johnmperry Says:  The first afternoon we took a taxi to one of the villages, and he waited for us. This was quite an expensive way of doing things. Agreed price was meter plus 100, so it came to 250 (RMB) altogether.I don't recommend you do that!

Taxi

Taxi, Kaiping

Kaiping Says:  I will always take the taxi to go around places because of the relative cheap price. Within the city limit you will not spend over $30rmb to go anywhere. Another alternative if your in a hurry or want to save a little money is to ride the motorbikes for at least half the...

Hot Springs

Kaiping 10 reviews

There are a few hot springs in the neighboring district of Enping. I visited one and it was a great experience. You can take a taxi or hire a personal driver to any of those locations. I would advice negociating the price first and asking the driver to wait outside of the resort for the return trip. The price should be around $200-300rmb(around $20-40usd) for the ride but that is just an estimate.
