Shooting photos in back street is so much of fun, especially in narrow and crammed back street of Guangdong Province.

Inside these back streets, I noticed a lot of hair saloons, and I also noticed they are different type of hair saloons, mostly low cost budget hair saloons and mid cost hair saloons, the high cost type is not inside these back street, is next to McDonalds an d KFC.

Mostly youngsters like to gather around these hair saloons, they like to enjoy new and trendy hair styles and coloring. The older ones are seen inside those low cost hair saloons, these are for elsers and budget, over here you need not deliberately carry a fake/real Louis Vuitton or Prada, nobody cares.

Over here in most of Guangdong Province, they rely a lot on these small motorcycles as their taxi. Just hop on any of these taxi and they will send you to anywhere in town, cost is around 3yuan per ride.

Without a doubt this place is a Holy site because nobody has such a huge XXX, only Him.

This is a holy place suitable for devout religious tourists to watch and witness the Holy Great XXX of the Creator.

Duck and rice are the most common food in Guangdong province, over here you need not surprise if they eat duck everyday, because they can do really yummy duck.

The best duck & rice restaurant in Shaoguan is located at the main street opposite the railway station, at Jiefang Road, the name of ths restaurant is《百草园肠粉专家》(no English name and no English wordings at all), address is 《韶关市浈江区解放路32》.

This restaurant is always full, many tables but still full, imagine how good the duck is.

I tried the duck with rice, really good, much better than other restaurants, so delicious! One plate of duck + pork + rice = RMB18.00 only.

I have also attached a video of this restaurant.

Below link is the name of this restaurant in Google Search 《百草园肠粉专家》 and address.

    Shaoguan restaurant

This is a very unsanitary restaurant in the outskirts of Shaoguan. Many local HK-based tour operators come here to have meals. Upon looking into the kitchen, you'll lose your appetite.

Old man fcuk the railway station @#$%^&*

    by l_joo Written Apr 27, 2012

This tip is about an incident I saw and witnessed while boarding the train, attached is a photo (a little blur, sorry) I snap so quickly of an old man and old woman (looks like husband and wife).

That day, at around 3pm, heavy rain, I went to the Shaoguan East Station to wait for boarding that starts at 3.43pm, as usual all baggage must go through the scanning shiit and after that will walk to the boarding gate to sit down waiting.

FYI, Railway station in China has invented a whole new boarding concept, they called it "Luxury Boarding Room" of which passengers will have to pay an additional 10 Yuan to be allowed into a special gated room called "Luxury Boarding Room", cheap drinks included. I paid 10 Yuan to get in.

Somehow when I look inside closely at the "Luxury Boarding Room", especially the chairs, tables, floors and walls, all are so ermmm...and stinks.

I waited for a while, suddenly I heard an old couples shouted so loud at the pay 10 Yuan entrance, they paid and they shout at somebody, they keep shouting all the way inside and outside the "Luxury Boarding Room", they shouted for about 10 minutes non-stop.

I could not quite understand their strong village accent but I managed to capture the overall meaning of what they were shouting..... "Fcuking Corrupted %^$#%& !!!!"

    Certified agent of train ticket

    by l_joo Updated Apr 21, 2012

Always remember to buy train ticket at the certified agent (a small shop with the railway logo), never go directly to the railway station to buy ticket because of over-crowded and extreme long queue.

Ask your hotel where to locate train ticket counter or shop/agent, they should know.

Buy bus ticket is much easier, you can go directly to the bus station.

And also remember to do homework before you buy train ticket, here is a train ticket website, inside you can find prices, seat positions, distance and time arriving, departing and the entire time-table.
