We ate at this Shandong restaurant twice, once for lunch and once in the evening. Both times it was packed out with diners.
The service and the food was simple but extremely good.
It seemed madness to be eating Shandong cuisine in Guangdong, but the food really was so good.
Favorite Dish: As well as a good variety of sea food, noodles and salads, the Xinjiang-style ribs and spicy mutton dishes were great as well(errrr..yes..I know....How does Xinjiang food get into a Shandong restaurant??!!)

Gypsy is an Australian-owned restaurant near the bow of "the ship" moored on dry land at the southern end of Shekou's plaza.
A great mix of international, Aussie, Greek, Italian and Asian seafood dishes.
Sit inside or outside.
Favorite Dish: The salads are excellent, fresh and 'snappy'!
The lamb fillet was also good, but the accompanying naan bread was - bizarrely - uncooked.
