Minsk World is a military theme park with the former USSR aircraft carrier Minsk as main exhibit. Around the park are some MIG fighters and artillery pieces too. After crossing the border at Lo Wu station I went by the tourist info office and picked up a brochure. It was helpful since I showed it to the taxi draver and the address was in Chinese. It is about 15 miles from downtown Shenzhen. One way cab ride was about 50 RMB and entrance was 110 RMB.

A real Russian aircraft carrier that was built in the 1970's. After the end of the cold war, a Chinese company bought it and turned it into an attraction! On deck you can see MIG fighters and anti-aircraft missles. Inside the ship, there is a museum with Russian space artifacts. Those include sattelites, space suits and a replica of the stuffed body of Strelka, a dog the soviets sent into space. Below, in the hanger, men in soviet naval uniforms perform Russian dance.
