Take the ferry from China Hong Kong City pier at Tsim Sha Tsui northwest of the Star Ferry pier. You can purchase tickets a day in advance at China Hong Kong City.
The daily Hong Kong - Zhaoqing departure is at 08:15 arriving in Zhaoqing at 12:30 and costs around HK$225
From Zhaoqing back to Hong Kong departs daily at 14:10 and arrives in time for dinner at 18:00 back at China Hong Kong City Pier.
You can also go by train or bus but ferry is the most convenient option. (The daily train departs at 15:35 and arrives at 19:50)
