Shihua Shan, a (small) mountain in the city

    by view.finder Written Apr 17, 2013

Very close to some of my other tips in Zhuhai, on Shihua Dong Lu, is the entrance to Shihua Shan, or Shihua hill/mountain. A small climb this one, paved all the way, is a perfect morning walk if your hotel is nearby, or stop at the Backerei cafe before or after.

Shihua Shan is really clean and well maintained with several sections designed for seating and great meeting places for a picnic, music or exercise. It is great reaching the levels of the sky scraping apartment windows and peaking in whilst continuing climb. Quiet, peaceful and clean. You'll spend less than one hour here!

Look out for animals of the Chinese zodiac, interesting views of the city districts and pathways that lead nowhere (see pic. 5)

Located at the foot of Shuanglong Mountain in Meixi, Zhuhai, with mountains behind and rivers in front, the tour base has a beautiful environment, covering about 133 hectare.
There are gardens of plants, flowers, vegetables and birds as well as an exhibition hall of traditional farm tools, restaurant, local products market and teahouses.

    Economic & Cultural Zhuhai

I did not know Zhuhai is located at the end of the famous Pearl River and facing across the ocean the cosmopolitan world city of Hongkong. Zhuhai means Pearl Sea! Next to Macau Zhuhai has achieved some remarkable developments during about the past 20 years, still named the "City Of 100 Islands".

So in Zuhai you may explore some of the great investments in both economy and culture. Walk in the huge streets of the glorious Zhuhai, fastest growing city of China, and enjoy the blue sky above an elegant city with tropical touch.

You can still find old buildings in zhuhai,
even though every month there seems to be new buildings coming up.

Just go walk the small streets behind the new big buildings and you might find something like this on the photo.
(old house with carvings etc.maybe qing dynasty building?...not far from New Yuan Ming palace, walk the small back streets on the left)
