One of the mountains near Li river looks like a moon (with a hole in the middle of the mountain). It is really called "moon mountain"

If you take a boat down Li and Yulong rivers have a look at both sides: there are houses with bambu where people live and children play

Rent a bike and take a ride down the roads leading out of Yangshuo. They will take you through some remote villages where you can really see how the majority of Chinese live.
