Safety Tips in Guizhou Sheng

Heroin and other drugs are a big problem in parts of Guizhou, particularly along its western and southern borders (but perhaps elsewhere as well). This has led to proliferation of crime and even violent crime. With the drugs, weapons including guns have been streaming in. As a tourist this probably will not affect you, but if you are traveling in smaller towns you should increase your vigilance.
