The nightlife scene involves restaurants and often the drum towers- places to hang out with friends and family. In such a small town, there isn't the rowdy bar crowd and scene that many foreigners call nightlife these days. And that's ok. Human connection, talking, meeting... often more satisfying than deafening "music" and overpriced drinks.

The other bar is named Haixiang whose owner is a Shanghainese. In fact it's more like a restaurant. Many options on the menu for eating and drinking. I was delighted to find they serve ginger coke in such a village as the longtime road trip had tired me much. Here you can look through some brochures introducing Zhaoxing and Dong nationality.

walk up to a hill where locate a high school, you can have a view for the whole town. We stayed at Dong minority area for more than 5 days at the time, getting bored with those drum tower.
