After you pass through the gateway, you will see an older-style building directly in front of you. Cross the dirt street, and the entrance is around the right side. Entry to the building is only Y7.
Don't beat on the big ancient-traditional-drum.
It's really loud, and lots of people will come running.
I'm pretty sure they were not amused.

About a 25-30 min drive from downtown.
Yazhou was where the emperors sent their misfit officers long ago. This was a posting to dislike, as it was the farthest away post they could be sent to.
Literally, "The End of the Earth".
This is the gateway to the ancient city. Enter it, cross the street, and you can see a sort of display museum you can go into.
Hire a driver, and tell him "Yazhou", he'll know it.

A: Trains on Hainan arrive to the island by train ferry, so if there are high speed trains they have to terminate on the mainland side.
