We all know it's not so convenient for staying in hotels in Yalong Bay. Because it's too far from downtown. If you don't want to have dinner in hotels, then have to go to Dadonghai, Sanya downtown or other places. From Yalong Bay to Dadonghai, it costs about RMB35 by taxi. If you don't want to spend much money on the transportation, you can consider the public bus--No.102 to Dadonghai, then take a taxi to downtown. Because there are no direct bus from Yalong Bay to Downtown. Of course, it takes more time.
If you don't want to take taxi and also public bus, can consider hotels which provide free shuttle bus between hotel and downtown. Such as Crowne Plaza (Yalong Bay), Kempinski (Sanya Bay).
Bty, if you like, can also take Bus No.102 to The End of The Earth from Yalong Bay.

Free shuttle bus to Nantian Hot Spring schedule:
Dadonghai (Pearl River Garden Hotel) to Nantian Hot Spring: 14:00PM, 16:00PM, 18:00PM, 20:00PM, 23:40PM
Nantian to Dadonghai: 13:00PM, 15:00PM, 17:00PM, 21:00PM, 23:00PM
Yalongbay (from Resort Horizon) to Nantian Hot Spring: 16:00PM
Nantian Hot Spring to Yalongbay: 20:00PM

There is a bus from/to Haikou to/from Sanya every 15miuntes from 07:00AM to 23:00PM every day. It's RMB79/person. The public bus is very clean and safe.

We discovered a bus that shuttles along the western seafront, passing the hotels to the west of Sanya regularly and continuing up at least as far as "the End of the World". RMB 2 per person.
The ticket-collector said that the bus continues as far as Nanshan.
The buses are double-decker buses, with a semi-open top deck, giving good views of all the development and building sites along the coast.
They stop on request anywhere - we saw two people hail the bus just 5 metres apart!
The buses say "National Express Bus" on the front window.

Sanya Airport is just 15-20 minutes from downtown Sanya, to the west of the town.
As of December 2004, the terminal building is undergoing renovation so only part of the building is in use.
What is being used is fairly disgraceful, and struggles to cope with the passengers. It is packed to overflowing, there are insufficient toilets, almost non-existent catering and a truly woeful collection of shops that sell absolutely nothing of use whatsoever apart from large quantities of local produce. It's almost as if nothing from outside Hainan has ever made it to the island!
Check-in is timed, so there is little point arriving early for a flight (who would want to anyway, with such atrocious facilities?).
Note that even if your aircraft departs from Gate 1, you can go downstairs to the Gates 2, 3 and 4 area where there are more seats.
Currently, Saya Airport is simply the worst airport I have used in China (and I have used many). Take your own food, plenty of reading material and don't expect to sit down while waiting!

Sanya's airport is very close to the civic center. You may take a taxi or a bus to a hotel. Hiring a car or bicycle , taking buses or taxies, are available.

to rent a car is not so expensive, just saying you want to have someone to drive you around in Sangya and hotel staff will get you one.

There are so many first-class hotels in Sanya, especially in Yalong Bay National Tourism District. Resort Intime is the best hotel in Dadonghai. Its garden is well-known.

Located at the southern tip of hainan island, about at the same latitude as hawaii. Sanya's air is much cleaner in comparism to most other cities in china.
