To get to Zhengding, first take a bus (No. 201) from opposite the train station in Shijiazhuang to a small bus station on the main road in Zhengding (RMB2). Then take a small yellow bus (No.1 - see photo) from the bus station to the Longxing/Dafo Temple which costs RMB1.

The train station in Shijiazhuang is very well located in the centre of the city and I actually stayed in a Home Inn hotel opposite it (see my accomodation tips). The city grow when the railway arrived here in 1905. Trains from this station connect Shijiazhuang with more than 50 cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Taiyuan, Xian, Guangzhou, Lhasa, Kunming and Guilin.
