My hotel was very closed to the beach of Xingkai Lake, so I can get up early to watch the sunrise on the lake. In Sep. the time of sunrise is about 4 AM. Before the red ball jumping out of the horizion, the color of the sky above the lake is mixed with ruby and sapphire. I love these colors more than the golden light of rised sun.
Xingkai lake is a large fresh lake and is devided by Chinese and Russia.
