Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You can get winter clothing and gears at extremely economical prices at Harbin's Walmart or Pai Lian Shopping Complex.
If you are arriving at Harbin by air, you could go very light by getting taxi to the hotel and hotel to the shopping centre without too much clothing on and buy the clothing at Harbin.
Photo Equipment: Battery drains fast. Recommended to bring 2 set of batteries.

Yabuli is supposed to be China's top ski resort. It hosted the Asian winter games a few years ago.. My advice to serious skiers is... don't bother. If like me you can just about manage the beginner...

I took my twins to Yabuli last year when they were 3.5 years old. We went with our chinese nanny and a chinese friend who could speak English. Getting a train ticket from Harbin is relatively simple....
