I forgot how much we paid for this show, but I think it's worth to go have a look at it. As I said on the introduction page, I'm not really a martial arts fan. But the show doesn't take too long and what they show can be quite impressive sometimes.

The Pagoda Forest is the most impressive place in Shaolinsi. It's the burial place for the head monks of the temple, and for each one they built a pagoda with inscriptions that characterize that monk and the age he lived in. I heard that recently the head monk died and they built a new pagoda for him, with pictures of computers and such on it. Some of the pagoda's are extremely old.

The temple was one of the first I ever visited in China. By now I don't really want to visit temples anymore, because for me they're more or less all the same. But when I look back on it, this is one of the nicest temples I've visited, because there are a lot more trees in and around it. So it's nicer to walk around in.

A surreal experience !

I went there summer 2005 and would recommend it to anyone. Thousands of students everywhere learning the art of Shaolin kungfu nestled in a beautiful scenery.
