Our guide on the peapod boat tells us that when a couple have a baby daughter they plant a pine tree oon their property . The pine is cut down when the daughter is wed and given to the couple as a wedding gift ,to be used for furniture .

The trackers that make special shoes to stand up to the rough rocks . The shoes are made out of bamboo fibers. They seem to do the trick as they have no problem keeping their footing on the splippery rocks!

At variuos stops along our tour of China we saw weddings . Maybe it was the time of year ( National Days) or just the fact of a huge population! We were told weddings are often in the morning , if its a first wedding. It seemed to be a huge celebration! Fire works are set off in the streets in the small towns!!

The scenery here was so spectacular we had a tough time deciding which pictures to take . The hills rose straight up from the rivers edge with majestic peaks. It was breathtaking.
