Since we visited, the Yangzi dam has been completed, which means, that the whole scenery has changed. In other words: the whole area has been flooded and the waters have risen by up to 100 m. The bridge on the picture was a total misconstruction: it was a new bridge, but was built at an altitude, that would be affected by the flood - so by now it has probably disappeared!!!

Lunch was served onboard the ferry but I can't recommend it. ( dishes are washed with cold water from the not too clean river) None of the less the beer was cold good and cheap!

Be sure to know the safety regulations and how to use your life vest! Just in case - although the chances of having to use this knowledge are low!!!

The scenery here was so spectacular we had a tough time deciding which pictures to take . The hills rose straight up from the rivers edge with majestic peaks. It was breathtaking.

The Funnest thing I've ever done when traveling probably had to be on the Yangzi River. My dad and I rented these little black inner-tubes, and floated down the river to a spot where they collected......
