Traffic Hotel: By the bus station
wenzhi_travels Says: The area around this hotel looks kind of sketchy but give the hotel a chance, it's better inside than outside. No air conditioning, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Doubles are Y80.
Right accross the street from the bus station there are a bunch of little hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurants. Go into any of them. It should cost less than $1-$2 for two people. Probably no english menu. We just went into one and it was very good and you can't beat the price!

We went there in late July 2005. As of that time (and it looked like it would be quite some time) the site is under construction and there's really nothing to see. It took us 4 hours to get out there only to find out it's basically totally closed for renovation. Make sure you check that it has been re-opened. If it is, then go out and see it as it looked like it was great when it was open.
Unique Suggestions: Don't go unless it's open.
