By reason of abundant rivers, Suzhou is worthy of the name of watery region. In Suzhou, no difference between man and woman, adult and chirdren, they all may punt ace. In addition, they not only control boat, but also can sing rising and falling chantey. Seating in boat, listening songs sing by boatman, the special rhythm say to you : welcom to Suzhou.

Keeping with the old way of life, locals still use the canals to wash clothes, pots, etc. Not sure how sanitary it is though.
