The Pan Men Scenic Area is considered one of the most important attractions in Suzhou but for me it was much to do about nothing. It is essentially a large pond surrounded by over restored or rebuilt pavilions that have been turned into souvenir shops.
Unique Suggestions: The complex grounds have two historical attractions of note of which I have provided separate tips, the Ruiguang Pagoda and the Pan Men Gate. Kids also seem to have a great time feeding the large schools of goldfish.
