    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you prefer pearls rather than jade, you will love to shop here. Here you can find all sorts of pearls with different colours & sizes. Pearls can be designed for necklace, pendant, bracelet, earrings & even be made into powder for medicine & skin care products.

What to buy: Pearl powder has whitening & medicinal properties. You can purchase pearl facial cream, facial wash & mask.

What to pay: If you are pestered by promoters to buy pearls & you are not interested at all, just tell them that you prefer diamonds ! :)

Prizes will be given away if you guessed the correct quantity of pearls inside a shell. (Btw, I guessed it correctly and won a packet of pearl powder for facial mask.)

    Huishan Clay Sculpture

by sunnywong Written Dec 8, 2002

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The interesting colored figurines made at the Huishan Clay Sculpture Factory are a specialty of Wuxi. These cute clay figures have been made for over 400 years and are very popular in China and with tourists.

The traditional products include the Old Man of Longevity or "Lao Shou Xing" and the "Da A Fu", a plump little boy holding a fish or a peach, which symbolizes prosperity. A visit to the factory will give visitors a chance to view and buy these unique artistic creations.
