There're hawkers around the streets selling simple snacks, look out for the ones that have big white styrofoam "bolsters" mounted on bicycles and which have sticks of various colourful, candied fruits stuck on them. They're really cheap, tasty, and photogenic as well!
Favorite Dish: The fruity kebabs are called "bing1 tang2 hu3 lu". We especially liked the strawberries (huge!) and hawthorn ones.

There's a small mom-and-pop local restaurant at the southwest corner of Shengli Xilu and Dongsheng Jie selling so-so Korean cold noodles and Korean bibimbap (no meat) for very reasonable prices, 5 RMB each. The bibimbap with squid is 10 RMB is very salty, so be warned! The restaurant actually specialises in DOG in case you're interested, but we didn't try. The staff are quite friendly.
Favorite Dish: Cold noodles and bibimbap (Korean rice in stone bowl) are their specialties, apart from dog.

ci nen ya, everyone in resturant will order this wild vegetable. it is said that japanese like it very much because it has a function to defend the cancer. it grows on the tree, i do not konw the name, maybe same as xiangchun tree. the name ci nen ya is after the appearance of the sprout with thorn and soft taste.

in yunfeng reservior, you can buy alive carp fished in yalujiang. they are very fresh. the resturant nearby can cook for you just charged 10 yuan. the best way to cook carp is jiang meng, or you just order the dish - jiang meng li yu.

korean cold noodle in the city is bad taste, even can not compare with that in shenyang. i miss the cold noodle in changbai county. the noodle here is made of corn, soft, light soup without any gradient, maybe just water. i hate ji'an cold noodle.

We had dinner in a BBQ restaurant on Dongsheng Jie. I think there're also usually many more similar restaurants around, but not in winter.
