    Dalian is one of the favouruet centers of nightlife in China. There are a lot of nightclubs in Dalian: Banana, Alice bar, No 1 nightclub and many many others. They are all pretty good and very cheep. To go there you have not to pay for the entrance, you have just to buy a coctail or any other drink.

    What I most liked in this park were all those latticework sculptures of the different sports. Must be at least thirty sculptures. My poor girlfriend suffered a lot, I think. She followed me almost wordless till I fisnished taking photos.

    Zhongshan Square is a music square. In summer many people play badminton, shuttlecock and dance here.
    Renmin Road is one of the busiest road in Dalian and many hotels locate on this road.

    This is probably the most important thing about Dalian. I didn't know about this at all when I first came here back during the summer of 2001. However, after weeks of rumor and going to the wrong place and getting frustrated because the taxi drivers never know what I'm talking about, I found it: David Bar.
    The bar's name sounds kinda hokey, but after staring at Birvon's ugly mug for a long time and not seeing any other people who spoke English, I decided I was going crazy. David Bar is agreed upon as THE expat bar in Dalian. Lots of Russians, Japanese, Australians, Brits, Americans, and Chinese, too. The beer is around 5 yuan for warm K-Lion, and 10 yuan for a mug of cold, yes cold, Budweiser. So, not only can you meet people from all over the world that are also living in Dalian, you can live it up and get schnockered for virtually nothing. The bar's atmosphere varies from evening to evening. It can be anywhere from loud and crazy to calm and mellow, depending on when you go and who you're with. I'm usually there Friday and Saturday nights.

    Jeans, I guess...There really is no dress code. It's VERY laid back.

    • Banana is a great place to go with friends. It is filled with thumping music and people. The prices are a bit high but by paying a bit extra you get to have a great time until 4:00 AM when the club closes. If you are a guy, expect to have Chinese girls all over you.

    Pretty much anything is accepted here. Dresses, suit and tie, jeans, skirts, tennis shoes, or heels.

    • "Camp David" is one of the hottest night spots in Dalian. Named after the US Presidential retreat, Camp David is a great place to sit back and have a beer after work. Always crowded after 8:00 PM and with a very friendly owner and bar staff, this bar always makes for an enjoyable evening.

    • This is my favourite bar in Dalian. Its small, cool, with a great outside terrace for sitting out at night. The music here is eclectic - there's jazz, blues, world, folk, and one of the owners, a guitar player from Beijing, often plays live. Some people sometimes jam - its a nice scene.

    Dave's Bar - this is not the true name but the expats call it this - 1/2 block in from Zhongshan Square on ?Yuguasng Jie - one street over from the bank with green domes
    Fusion Bar - but I believe this is about to be torn down
